Garden to table!!

 Garden to table!!!

This year we have been making and planting things in our garden. The first thing we got to eat out of our garden was broccoli and broccoflower mixed with cheese sause.

How we grew our broccoli and broccoflower was we planted the seeds in our green house and once they had grown a bit, we put them into our real garden. We kept watering the broccoli and broccoflower until they looked like they were about to go to seed. So then we pulled out the food and cooked it with a cheese sauce. Everyone in my syndicate got to have some of the yummy food. Something funny was I had a treat in my food and that treat was a slug. Luckily, I didn't eat it and the slug lived to see another day!

Wonder Project, Final Flight

Since the middle of term three we have been doing Wonder Project. We had to come up with a team name and do lots of other challenges. My teams name was Happy Rockets.

This week in Wonder Project we did our final flights. We had to make changes to our rocket to see if it would fly better. My group didn't make a lot of changes but we did take off the fins and make them more stable. We also added a magnet to make our rocket weigh a bit more. Then we got to do our final flight with the changes that we made to our rocket. We first had to pour how much water we wanted in our bottle and make sure the air presure was 0psi. Then we would put our rocket on the stand and pump the pressure pump until it was at 60psi. Once everyone was safe and stood back we counted down from ten "10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1," We all cheered as the rocket flew high in the sky. Our rocket went 23 metres which was really cool. 

I think our rocket flew very well but I do think it could have flown better. I think next time my group could make the fins bigger and a different shape. Other than that I think our rocket was amazing.

Production Rehearsals

 Kia Ora Bloggers, I'm back.

Since term three we have been doing Production Rehearsals. Since term four started we have been using props. We have been doing a lot of rehearsals. On Wednesday we did a rehearsal during school and after school. We practiced scenes one, two and three. Then on Thursday we did a rehearsal during school and after school. This time we practiced scenes four, five and six. The last time we practised this week was Friday during school. We go to practice scenes eight and nine. Then we practicsed those scenes again but with the year five and six's dance. I am enjoying rehearsals so far and can't wait to do more in the future.

P.E Rotation

 Kia Ora bloggers, I'm back

This week we did a P.E. rotation. We had to get into groups of four. Then your group of four had to find a cone to stand at. Once everyone was ready we had to look at the piece of paper that was underneath the cone. On the piece of paper was an exercise that we had to do. After that the teachers would yell, "Go!" to tell us that we had to start doing what was on the piece of paper. After a little while of doing one P.E. activity a teacher would tell us to move to a different station. We did about six P.E. activities or more. Some of the things we did were; star jumps, burpees, running and much more.

Daffodil Day

The last couple of weeks Auckland has been in lockdown. I have done alot of things in lockdown but one of the things I did was draw a Daffodil to support the people with canser. I did this because we wearn't at school to raise money for the people with canser. So I thought I should still suport them by drawing a Daffodil. Cardboard Picasso Art

 Hey Bloggers.

This week I have been doing a lot of cool stuff. On Tuesday I made something really cool. I made a cardboard picasso. With this you can use lots of colour and be creative. I had to have some cardboard, scissors, glue and some paint. First I had to cut out a weird shape out of the cardboard with my scissors to make the face.  Then I had to use some more cardboard to make some eyes, mouth and nose. After that I painted the eyes, mouth and nose. Well I let that dry I painted the face diffrent colours. After all of that was dry I glued the eyes and stuff onto the face. It looked so pretty and I hope you try it out.

Writing a Myth

 Kia Ora Bloggers. 

As you know there are myths about how the Kiwi lost its wings and how a Elephant has a trunk. Well in writing we have been watching those myths and planning to write our own myth. We got to come up with an animal and think of something unique about that animal. Then we had to plan the charcters and the setting. After that we had to write a myth about how that animal got the unique thing about it so that we could make it a Myth.
