I'm back.

The last couple of weeks we have been learning about Racism. This week we watched a video based on Racism and we had to do a response on Racism. 

If you don't know what a response is it is when you add some things you like about what you are learning, things you didn't like, what you didn't understand, what you would change, somethings you were suprised about, what did it make you think about and your experience around the thing you are learning about. We had to write two things in each box. I think that it is important to learn about racism because we need to know that you shouldn't treat people diffrently because of how they look. As well as being aware of what is going on around the world.

Reading work

Hi everyone! I'm back.

This week for reaing we did lots of work. One of my reading task I had to answer questions about the book we were reading. This week I read a book called White shoes. It was a cool and interesting story.  The book White shoes was about a boy who had to moved to live with his grandma so that he could learn more about his culture but at first he didn' want to move. However, after a couple months he had learnt Moari language and the culture and he loved living with his grandma. After I read the book I had to anwser ten questions about White shoes. We read about this book because we are learning about belonging and racism happening around the world and NZ.
