Kia Ora Bloggers, I'm back!
This term we have been doing our portraits. Our theme for our portraits was to have out face on one side and a different decade on the other. The first step of our portraits was to take a photo of our face and then print it out. Then we would cut our printed face in half and trace it on one side of our paper. After that we put a piece of tape at the top of the paper so that when we painted we could go onto the tape and when we took it off there would be a straight line. Then we sketched our pattern that we were going to paint. After that we painted our pattern. When the paint had dried we had to glue our half face on the sketched area. After that we drew our decade on the other side of the paper. Then we had to dye around the decade face. After the dye had dried we had to color our decade face in with bright colors. Then our portrait was finished.

Hi Brittany, you've explained the process of your Visual Artwork very clearly. I particularly like the use of green in your clothing for your 'decade' option and I love the detail of the buttons! Could you explain to the readers, which decade you selected and why? I'm guessing the 1900s?
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing your future blog posts, whilst we're working away from school during the lock down. Keep blogging!
