Kia ora, Bloggers' I'm back!
Last week the seniors went to camp. We stayed at the crossing in Mount Ruapehu. There was lots of cabins that four two six people stayed in. Our dinner, dessert, breakfast and lunch was provided for us. There was a dinning room where we ate our breakfast, dinner and dessert. Also there was a boys area which was where all the boy cabins were and there was a girls area which was where the girls cabins were. There was a games room that had table tennis in it and some other board games like monopoly, cards and jingo. Something that suprised us was there was a movie room but we had to walk inside a wardrob to get into the movie room.
The day we left from our school to the Crossing we stopped at Hamilton Gardens and we had to get into our color groups. We had some morning tea and then each group got pictures of some of the gardens and we had to find the name of the gardens by looking around the garden. Then we got back onto the bus and went to the Otorohanga park and had a play. After that we visted the Ed hillary walkway and we had to answer some questions about the stands and had some lunch. Then we leaved for Taumaranui school to have after noon tea and a play. Then after a big day we arived at the crossing and had dinner. We had deviled sausguses for dinner and for desert we had a lamington and cookies and cream ice cream. Then we got to play some games and talk for a while. Then we had showers and went to bed.
The next three days we got our skis or snowboard, healmet and ski or snowboard boots. We got to go tobogganing, go on the gondolas, have our first ski and snowboard lessons, have free time on the slopes and go on the chairlifts. My favourite part about camp was having free time on the slopes because I got to go down the very bottom of the mountation. This was my favourite part because I got to spend it with my dad and friends and me and my dad skied/snowboarded the whole time expect I had about a two minute break. We went to Aquatic centre, Huka Falls and Hamilton Gardens on the trip
What I want to say to the middle school for when they go on camp is... I had a very fun time and I think they will love camp. Also if they are on camp and they miss their parents they just need to think about something else other wise they might not have a good time.
My favourite part about camp was going to Mount Ruapehu because I got to touch real snow for the first time. Also I got to ski for the first time and it was very fun because I went quite fast and I got to spend it with my dad.
