Summer Learning Journey, Hana Koko

Talofa Lava bloggers
I'm back with another amazing blog.

The second activity I did today was called Hana Koko. We had to watch a video on what to do. For this activity we had to think about making our own santa cousume. What we had to think about our culture and things about New Zealand. After that we had to make it into a coustume. It didn't have to be a big warm outfit like Santa really wears it could be something summery. It just had to show some of your culture. Then we had to name our outfit and write down what inspired you. The last thing I had to do was write down what I added to my outfit and why I added those things.

Which one doesn't belong, Summer Learning Journey

Talofa bloggers.

The task I have done now is called which one doesn't belong. I had to look at four pictures and look for a reason why it didn't belong. It could beacuse it was a different colour to the others or something else. I had to do ten different slides and then for the last slide I had to make my own one. So I added four different photos of dogs. See if you can see any reason why some of the dogs don't belong.
Thank you for reading my blog post.
Remember to leave a comment and add some reasons why some of the dogs don't belong on slide 11.

Summer Learning Journey, What are you doing today?

 Kia Ora bloggers

For this Summer Learning Journey task I had to do a lot of arranging. I had to arrange some maori words to make a sentence. Then on the next slide I had to rearrange some maori words to make the sentence. The sentence was what are you doing today? After that it asked me what I was doing today and I said I was going to swim. On the second to last slide I had to choose the maori word for swimming and put it in the gap in the maori sentence. The last slide I had to do was answer the question (What are you doing today?) in maori. I also had to add a photo that shows what I am doing today.

Turtle

 Talofa Lava bloggers!

This week I arrivied at school and something very exciting was in our School Office. Some students from Waikowhai Primary had found a turtle at the bottom of our back track. They had carried it up to the Office at the front of our School. They found a decent size box and put the turtle in it. Then the students took the box with the turtle in it and brought it into my Syndicate. They took it into my teacher's office which is in my Syndicate. Then my friend Angelina went and got some towels while I stayed with the turtle. After she had come back we put a towel in the box and some over it. We also tried to find a bigger box but we could find anything bigger than the one we had. My teacher Miss Daly tried to find the owner and while she was trying to find it the turtle climbed out of the box and into the classroom. The turtle that we found wasn't the biggest but it was about as big as a book. This turtle was a Red Eared Terarpin.

After a while we found the turtle's owner and she came and picked it up. This was a amazing experience because I had never seen a turtle up so close. I am super glad that we found the turtle's owner.
